We headed out to Puente Hills today for the Puente Hills Dealer Showcase hosted by Mazda of Puente Hills. I must say that after a fairly long hiatus this was a fantastic meet to help me jump back into the swing of things. With a very healthy mix of JDM, EDM, and even some Domestic Muscle cars this show had a little something for everyone. I was glad to have been a part of this event, and if you didn’t show you missed quite possibly one of the nicer shows we have had so far this year. Read on for my full coverage of the show.
We arrived at around 11:00am and the show was already in full swing. It was the first meet I have attended in a while, and it was the perfect way for me to shake the rust off before some of the really big events we have coming up in April and May. Usually at meets like this theres more quantity then quality but I have to say that quality and quantity came together pretty well here. Anyways, enough talking, heres the coverage…
Leading off our coverage of todays festivities is this pristine MK4 Toyota Supra. It may have been naturally aspirated, but there was no denying that this thing was sitting clean. It’s becoming rarer and rarer to see these cars maintained well and looking good. Props to the owner for keeping this JDM classic so well maintained through out the years.
To be perfectly honest, I’m not the biggest fan of the newer generation Camaro but something about this one caught my eye. There may be a lot of green but it just flows so well with the lines of the body.
I have seen this Silvia around quite a bit lately. It sits really well on those diamond silver Enkei RPF1s, but what really blows me away is the attention to detail put into the custom paint job on his hood. Nothing says JDM pride like a giant rising sun across the hood. My props go out to the artist for some great color and shade work on this car. I hope to see even more of it around!
Now here is something that really blows me away. This gorgeous 1st gen Chevy Camaro was a really nice change of pace. Seeing well kept classic Chevy’s always hits close to home for me. Like a lot of car enthusiasts my childhood was filled with high power muscle cars and the scent of drag strip asphalt. This was such a treat, I would have loved to get this cars story from the owner.
Only one word can accurately describe this E46 M3. Flawless. Wether your looking at the those gorgeous 9 spoke wheels from HRE, the full track minded cosmetics, or peeping under the hood of this monster… The attention to detail is just stunning. This is definitely my favorite BMW. Ever. Period.
Yet another car I have been seeing a lot of lately. This VIP’d Lexus blows me away every time I see it. Something that front end really catches my eye. I would love to meet the owner and get some more info on this ride!
I’ve seen a few videos of this Civic Si on YouTube before but never expected to see it here in person. Now, if you know me, I’m not the biggest fan of 90% of Civics… However, who can’t love this car with a snail as big as 2 of its cylinders?!
This A3 really impressed me. I’m a Euro fanatic, and static seems to be becoming more and more of rarity with newer European applications. Seeing a static Audi this well fitted definitely brought a smile to my face. Next to Antonio Rocha’s A3, this is definitely the cleanest I’ve ever seen!
All and all the meet went really well. The turn out was great, the good vibes were everywhere, and the free tacos definitely did there part to sway my opinion as well! I wish more dealerships went out of there way to put on shows like this more often. Very well organized, smooth, and well run meet. Big props and thanks go out to Prestige Marketing, ItzJDMYo, and Mazda of Puente Hills for putting on such a spectacular show! We hope to see more from these guys!
