It seems that since our conception here at Stance Stories, Michael Koldus of SoCal Car Meets & Shows has been behind us promoting almost every article, feature, and event we’ve had along the road so far. I can say with great assurance that without Michael we would have never grown to so popular in so little time. So it was absolutely necessary that we reciprocated the love when time came for the 1st anniversary of SoCal Car Meets & Shows. If you missed out on this powerhouse meet, be sure to read on for only a small taste of the incredible turnout our boys at SoCal Car Meets & Shows and K.R.O.P.S were able to string together for our enjoyment!
We showed up around 6:00p.m and started by shooting our newest feature on Joe Schnieders car in a nearby parking garage. By the time we wrapped up the shoot, and grabbed some digits from the waitress at Hooters night was beginning to fall on the Hooters of Anaheim parking lot.
Fortunately however, before the deep yellow lights of the light posts over head reared there ugly, photo destroying light we managed to grab some good shots of some of the talent showcased at the meet, much like this AE-86 that also happens to be gracing our cover for this article.
There were many Evolutions in attendance that night but the one that stood out most was this murdered out, battle stanced, face munching Evolution IX. These cars are becoming more of a rarity with many owners trading up to Evolution X’s, or even the newer STI’s. It’s always nice seeing one of these done up, and done up right at that!
On the flip side we caught this gorgeous blob eye STI sitting on the other end of the parking lot. No doubt rocking some heavy hardware from the looks of that massive intercooler hiding behind the front bumper.
This Cabriolet seems to be popping up everywhere lately. Wether its the monthly K.R.O.P.S meet at the various K1 Speeds, some of the local Euro get togethers, or even Wustefest in Vegas, this MK1 is definitely making the rounds around the local scene, and doing it in style!
We spotted this fairly well fitted CB chassis Accord rocking at Stance Stories decal towards the front of the lot. It’s always nice to see that our readers care enough to invest there hard earned money to representing our name. Wether its this Accord, or any of our other 500+ fans, we appreciate every “Like”, Repost, and read article you invest your time into.
We also caught this black on black Infinity G35 sitting alone in a dismal corner of the parking lot. Black on black seems to be a reoccuring theme. If the murdered out trend is starting to return. I definitely don’t mind it if it’s being represented by cars like this G35 and the above Evolution IX.
With the exclusion of a few drunk Angel fans roaming the lot.. Michael, Jerel, and the rest of the boys pulled off a fantastic meet. SoCal Car Meets & Shows has made it much easier for the local community as well as it’s photographers to find local meets and the dates for some of the biggest shows in our sunny state. Michael provides a valuable service to our community with no reciprocation, so next time you see him in his red Cobalt at YOUR local meet, be sure to thank the man, because without him, half the people at your meet probably wouldn’t even know it existed. Happy 1 year anniversary Mike, we hope for many more!
