Chances are if you’ve been to any car shows in the last year or so you’ve probably ran into Joser Romo and his watermelon green Audi A3. Since I got into the Euro scene Joser’s whip has always been a pinnacle for me to shoot towards, as I am sure it has been for many others. Builds that break out of the norm are what Stance Stories is all about. Joser’s build brings that JDM flavor in the Euro scenes form over function mentality, and though some may argue that such an idea is brash and over zealous, trust us when we say Joser has quite the impressive room full of trophies to justify otherwise.
Question: Tell us about yourself, and how you got involved in the stance scene?
Answer: My name is Joser Romo, and I am the proud owner of the beautiful Audi A3 seen within the confines of this feature. I first got involved in the stance seen with this last year or so. Since then I have been building it to compete at tons of shows all over SoCal both big and small, but what most people don’t know is that this car is also my daily driven whip.
Question: Tell us how you obtained your car and why you chose it above all your other options?
Answer: I was at a local Audi dealership, and was actually in the market for an A4, but when I got there they were taking out the then brand new A3′s from the trailer and I knew I had to own it. So a few hours of haggling and a test drive later, boom! There was an Audi A3 in my driveway. I chose the car because it’s different, and not a lot of people tend to built this car because of supposed engine problems, but I feel it’s all about how you take care of your car. Like any other Volkswagen is has it’s kinks but it’s still my baby.
Question: What do you feel sets your car apart from others in the scene?
Answer: To tell you the truth, I have no idea. I think its just like any other car, with a different brand and a brighter color. When I’m thirsty or hungry though, and I stare at it and think I’m looking at a watermelon!
Question: Is there anyone you’d like to thank thats helped you on the road to getting your build to where it is today?
