While Alex and Max were attending the Nisei Import Showoff I attended The Infamous hosted by Canibeat and Hellaflush. After waking up at 8am I quickly got all my camera equipment ready and made the journey out to the Queen Mary Event Park. I arrived to long lines for parking and an even longer line just to get into the event. Once I got in, however, all of it was worth it.
The first two cars I saw upon my entry was no other than Derek Keota’s white Subaru STi and Shavi Wijegunaratne’s red Mazdaspeed 3 hatch. These cars break necks wherever they go and The Infamous was no exception.
This meet even brought out Ojay Bayang’s and Big Steve’s VIP LS400s. I always love seeing these cars in person as they both exude style and class.
As I was walking into the main event area I came across Walker Wilkerson pushing his S13.4 drift car into the area. I love the design and look of this car and it’s always cool to see track cars outside of their usual environment.
In addition to the cars showing was a section dedicated to the Honda Ruckus. These customizable scooters are gaining a bigger, and bigger following the more time passes on.
Upon entering the grassy area I was greeted by these two RWB Porsches from Fatlace. The black 911 belongs to Fatlace’s Mark Arcenal and I’ve heard the Rivera Blue 993 is Nakai-san’s daily driver when he’s in USA. These cars generated heavy traffic throughout the entire show. It was impossible to take a picture of it without someone being in the shot.
Adjacent to the RWB Porsches was the Rotiform 911 sitting flawless in the gorgeous back drop created by the Queen Mary’s harbor. The way the polished Rotiform TMBs compliment the Porsche’s gorgeous natural body lines definitely make this car an eye catcher.
At the end of the grassy area was this really awesome Mini Cooper. Ususally I always see the newer and bigger Coopers so it was great to see the original and smaller model at Infamous.
In addition to Derek Keota and Shavi Wijegunaratne the rest of Royal Origin and Lowballers made an appearance. The two are synonymous with quality and this occasion was no exception. It was hard to make the choice but my favorite of the three pictured was definitely the NB Miata for its choice of wheels and aero.
I had a great time at The Infamous. The weather was nice, the cars were great, and the venue made for great scenery. I really hope these two powerhouses collaborate again for another event to be remembered.
