Those of you who didn’t already know, one night out of the month the parking lot of Target Greatlands in Cerritos, California becomes the flooded with some of the sickest cars the area has to offer. This monthly meet is hosted by your boys here at Stance Stories in conjunction with the folks from Local Origins, and dubbed with the appropriate name of “Slammed Saturdays”.
Apologies for the unusually low quality photos. I was armed with second hand gear the night of the meet and my tripod decided to get whiskey dick on me so I was walking around shooting from the hip all night with my back-up eBay flash.
This was our fourth month hosting this meet, and as usual the turnout was filled with some quality cars, but the number of attendees had sky rockted to a massive 150+ cars when I went around for a head count, becoming our largest gathering we’ve put on to date!
Tons of old and new friends came out to spend a night having fun on the first night of the Autumn season, one prime example being our previously featured homegirl Jackie Tyner and her Mini dubbed Mighty Mouse!
Okay, maybe this Scion xB doesn’t fit my taste very well, but I gotta say the Justin Beiber video blasting out of the trunk of the dudes car was worth quite a few laughs, and a notable mentions.
A few rows in I ran into this gorgeous S-Class Mercedes Benz. I’ve only seen a few Merc’s rolling around the local meets and this project is definitely out of the ordinary, can’t wait to see this car sitting on the floor!
Our friend Anthony Renderos rolled through in his prize winning S30. If this car looks familiar, it should. This bad boy took home Best Nismo at the last AutoFresh event, and I can’t wait to see what Anthony does to it next, trust us when we say there are some really big plans for this project!
It wouldn’t be a Stance Stories meet without the house team rolling out to show love. Danny Vu from the Syndicate rolled all the way from Orange County to spend some quality time with the family and show off his shiny new wheel setup.
I’ve thrown this gorgeous LS in a fair share of coverage over the last year or so we’ve had this blog going, though I’ve yet to meet the owner of the car it’s always a treat to see it at shows… Ice cream truck horn and all!
Tucked all the way in the back of the lot I found these two almost mirror image white Honda S2000′s, and though the photo came out looking crazy over exposed I still feel it made a pretty cool looking shot.
We were lucky enough to have some Domestic’s roll through and post up with the rest of the crowd, although there was one duchebag in his dads Charger that tried to ruin it for everyone, than threatened to fight people and sub-sequentley ran off home… It was still a solid crowd and we were more than glad to welcome the diversity to the meet with open arms.
Even some of the heavy hitters from Royal Flush decided to pay us a visit making the meet that much more interesting and drool worthy. The heavy hitters at the meet as well as all the new and old friends definitely made this a meet to remember and we can’t wait for the special 1-year anniversary meet next month!
