With the show season still on hold and some of the biggest names in the game locked away in their garages devising diabolical new builds for the coming season it has been difficult to find events worth attending lately with the closest big name event being Slammed Society in April. That being said, Tommy Le of Fresh on Stance fame contacted us early Tuesday morning to plan a last minute car meet and new up and coming garage Blackwood Motorsports to be held just 4 days later. Once a year Irwindale Speedway ditches it’s title as the “House of Drift” and procures the monicker of the “House of Drag”. The Moon Eyes Christmas Party this year topped it’s presiding years with great gusto the first weekend of December as hotrodders, low riders, bobbers, and drag cars poured into the Azusa race park early Saturday morning on December the 8th. Taking time to forget about all the problems waiting for you at work, or at home. Letting go of your inhibition and being yourself around the people who make the days worth grinding through. A few weeks ago we were fortunate enough to sponsor an event put on by the fine folks at Jeff Jones Racing and Racers Edge Karting. Stuff’t & Stanced promised to be an exciting way to spend a chilly Sunday, but what we didn’t expect was the colorful turnout and insane diversity presented at the show. This past Saturday Geisha Events and 742 Marketing collaborated for a greater good and put on the “A Child’s Smile” benefit car show in Fullerton at the Extreme Dimensions warehouse. We were lucky enough to attend the event and I must say I feel it went pretty well for a show its size. With a very diverse palette of automotive styles to choose from it proved to be equal parts gladly surprising and remotely upsetting at the same time. Krispy Kreme has always been synonymous with three things: gorgeous cars, incredible turnouts, and insane police presence. This Krispy Kreme was no different. With a turnout of well over 3,000+ cars, excluding those stuck on the surrounding highways, streets, and parking lots do to the traffic generated from the meet. The sheer size and presence of the meet was impossible to deny considering it effected not just the mile long Best Buy parking lot, but the entire surrounding city of Burbank! If you were one of the very few who missed out on the street meet of the year, within this article you’ll find everything worth seeing from the event that you missed sitting on your couch and watching the meet on the Channel 4 News. For almost half a decade now they have been producing some of the most beautiful images, and most hilarious write ups we’ve ever read. Saturday marked the one year anniversary of this publications conception. Rather than going out and drinking till my insides came out I decided to spend this momentus occasion with the people who mattered, the readers. We decided to put on a car meet with the help of the Target Greatland’s property owners. Though not all went as planned we had a shattering 160+ car turnout with tons of old friends, new faces, and some of the biggest names in the game. With the tire smoke subsiding and the residual ringing in our ears finally dying down we decided to take a breather and hit the Vendor Village to see what hidden gems around the show we could run into.
